Health Insurance

Our employees have their choice of health insurance plans that include prescription coverage, with the option to add dental and vision plans.

If a full-time employee decides not to enroll in a health plan, they are eligible to receive an "Opt Out" credit.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

Employees have two FSA options:

Medical Flexible Spending Account—Available to employees who would like to set pre-tax money aside for their medical, dental, vision, or prescription (including some over-the-counter medications) costs that are not covered under health insurance.

Dependent Care Account—Available to help pay for children's day care or a loved one's elder care expenses.

Short- and Long-Term Disability

Optional short- and long-term disability insurance plans are available.

Life Insurance

Company-paid group term life insurance is provided to our full-time employees only. The option to purchase supplemental life insurance for themselves and their dependents is also available.

401(k) Retirement Planning

All employees who are at least 21 years of age and have a minimum of 6 months of service with Penn Treaty are eligible to participate in the 401(k) program.

Paid Time Off Program

Our Paid Time Off program (PTO) promotes a healthy balance between our employees' jobs and their personal lives. Employees earn paid time off based on their level and length of service with the company.

Tuition Reimbursement Program

Penn Treaty is committed to the professional development of our employees. We provide reimbursement for a variety of certification, license, industry, and degree and non-degree programs.
